Terms of Service & License Agreement

Welcome

Welcome to Jings, a unique breedable pet game within the Second Life Metaverse. By purchasing, owning, or interacting with Jings products, you agree to the following terms. If you do not agree, please delete all Jings items and cease use of our services immediately.

1. Code of Conduct & Drama Policy

We maintain a zero-tolerance policy regarding harassment.

  • Behavior: Insulting staff, inciting drama, or arguing within Teulu/Jings groups is prohibited.
  • Penalties: Violations result in one (1) warning. A second offence will result in a minimum 30-day ban from all community groups.
  • Support During Bans: If you are banned from groups, you may still contact a Customer Service Representative (CSR) for technical help via IM/Notecard.

This policy is non-negotiable.

2. Intellectual Property & Anti-Copybot Policy

All meshes, textures, scripts, and animations are the exclusive property of Jings.

  • Copybotting: Any attempt to copybot or rip Jings assets will be reported to Linden Lab (DMCA) and may result in legal action.
  • Platform Restriction: Jings designs are created specifically for Second Life. They may not be exported, recreated, or used on other grids or platforms. We do not grant "External Licenses" for our assets.
  • Tampering: Any attempt to reverse-engineer scripts or manipulate the Jings database will result in an immediate permanent ban and the disabling of all Jings products in your inventory.

3. Gameplay & Database Integrity

  • Access: We reserve the right to remove access to Jings vendors, redelivery systems, and our server database for any user found violating these terms.
  • Refunds: All sales are final. Jings products and virtual currencies (Angel Points) are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Exploits: Users found exploiting bugs, hacking, or "griefing" the system will face immediate account termination within the Jings ecosystem.

4. The "Angel" System & Secondary Sales

  • Angel Points: Users are encouraged to "Angel" items (exchange them for points) rather than selling live Jings or eggs for under 500L.
  • Point Value: Angel Point rewards are calculated based on a minimum base value (100 points) plus bonuses for specific traits, rarities, and age.

5. Warranty & Support

  • Maintenance: We aim to resolve all technical issues. If an item is "broken" and cannot be fixed by a CSR, we will replace it, provided the item has not been tampered with or modified.
  • Response Time: Our CSR team strives to handle inquiries within 24 hours. Please utilise the in-world Redelivery System for basic inventory loss before contacting a CSR.

6. Limitation of Liability

  • Service Changes: Jings reserves the right to modify, update, or terminate services (including database-driven features) at any time to maintain game balance or technical stability.
  • Grid Failure: Jings is not liable for losses caused by Linden Lab grid outages or region crashes.
  • Right to Refuse Service: We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate accounts at our sole discretion.

7. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes must first be addressed through in-metaverse methods (contacting Management). By using Jings, you agree that any further conflict resolution will be governed by the internal regulations of Second Life and the laws of the American DMCA Copyright Act.
