Easy! Register on the site, then pop over to the JingJings in-world store and buy a starter pack — the eggs land in your account right away. Rez an egg in Second Life and hatch it with the HUD (or just give it a touch). The Getting Started guide walks you through it step by step.

Yes — the HUD is your pet's best friend (after you). It's how you feed, heal, partner, boost and generally look after your JingJings. Wear it in Second Life and it opens a little web page. The HUD guide has the full tour.

As many as your heart desires! There's no limit on pets or eggs. The HUD picker shows up to 50 of your pets at a time.

Pets get peckish over time — it's normal! If hunger climbs too high their health starts to dip. Feed them with the HUD Hunger action (uses one food item) or a hunger potion. Pet Care covers the routine.

Don't panic — a sick pet just needs a little TLC. Use the Heal action with a medkit or health potion, then feed them so they keep recovering. Going away for a while? Hibernation pauses everything safely.

It's a pet's… romantic mood, shall we say. Passion builds over time and through interaction. Both partners need to hit 100% before a pregnancy boost will work.

Think of it as a cosy nap. Hibernating pets are paused — they don't get hungry or lose health. Perfect for when you're away from SL for a while. Partnering a hibernating pet wakes it up automatically.

First, play matchmaker: partner them via HUD → Partner (pick an eligible pet of the opposite gender that you own). Once both partners reach 100% passion, use Boost to advance the pregnancy. All the details are in Breeding.

The rules of romance: both pets must belong to you, be opposite genders, not already partnered, not angeled, not Forever, and not bred out. The picker only shows pets that qualify, so if your pick isn't there, one of those is the reason.

Every pet has a breed limit (base 10, plus any extras from potions). Once they reach it they've earned a happy retirement from breeding — an Extra Breeds potion can top the limit back up if you want more babies from them.

Nope — that's the whole idea of Forever. They're permanently retired from breeding and partnering, but they stay your pet and keep living in-world with you.

The genetics system! Babies inherit the colour and shape of each body part, plus size, from their parents. Rarer traits have lower odds — which is what makes a rare baby so exciting.

It makes a pet a Forever pet: they're yours for good — they'll never breed or partner again, and any current partner link and pregnancy are cleared. It's permanent, so the HUD asks "are you sure?" first.

With an Unpet potion — use the Forever action again on a Forever pet and it returns to normal (Forever = 0).

When you angel a pet it goes to the great garden in the sky, and you earn angel points based on its traits to spend on rewards. Be careful though — angeling is forever, no take-backs!

In-world vendors, starter packs, gift cards redeemed on the site, and angel points rewards. Your Supplies panel in the HUD shows everything you're carrying.

Deep breath! The rezzed copy checks in with the server every ~30 minutes, and deletes itself if the record is missing — usually because the pet was angeled or archived. Your pet record may still be fine: re-rez or redeliver it from the HUD. If it keeps happening, open a ticket with the pet ID and we'll dig in.

If this happened before 23 Oct 2026 it may be a bug we've already fixed — open a ticket with the pet ID and we'll restore them for you.

Your HUD is behind the times — detach it and grab the current version from the JingJings HQ. Takes a minute.

Classic fix: detach and re-attach the HUD for a fresh token. Or give it a few minutes — the HUD prim polls the site roughly every 10 minutes.
